WILLIAMS COLLEGE CLASS OF 1980
Dear SAL,
We are writing to relate an encouraging tale from Williamstown. An alum was walking through Paresky and wondered who had his mail box now. What student was opening the mailbox he used to open and what were they studying? It occurred to him that he could write them an encouraging note and so he did. This story made its way to the Alumni Fund office. In November they invited alumni from the last five years to send in encouraging letters to the students using their mailboxes on campus now. 470 of our young alumni responded with tales about how Williams had brought them friendships, taught them lessons, given them opportunities, etc.
The students on campus headed into exams with encouraging words from the community of Williams young alumni about experiences that we share as Ephs and as humans. They have been buoyed, examined, and will soon head home after exams.
If you wish to make a gift to Williams and the Alumni Fund before 2016 concludes, December 30th is the last day for stock gifts. If this method is preferable to you, we would recommend starting the process sooner rather than later as it can take a few days to complete the transaction process. Security Gifts can be made online at http://giving.stage.williams.edu/outright-gifts-of-securities/. If you would prefer to make an online transaction, you are welcome to give at http://give2.williams.edu.
We write to remind you that you are part of a wonderful community of young and old people who have enjoyed a Williams education. We hope it has brought you some measure of wisdom and fulfillment. We wish you peace and hope in the coming year!
Yours in Purple,
Head Agents
